Like its twin, H-3-9 is a three-ply wood made completely of hinoki, with two thinner layers outside and a thicker layer in the center that enhance ball control and minimize speed loss. It is more active and in control than the H-1-9. The sharp edges joining the grip and racket form were smoothed. This blade, which is available in all grip shapes, is the ideal replacement for the attacking player now that the adhesive ban has been lifted.
